Thursday May 24 22nd Day Ka-munaly- 3-35 AM. We made the land at 2-30 this morning. Which all the time, blowing, drifting, and snowing. We noticed where the Cubino's had camped twice on the way across. Evidently Smith and Co-dee are, or have been, here in camp after seals. I just [illegible] about, and other things in cache on the ice foot. By our time - seven and a quarter ours - I should judge our camp to Smith Sound lies about twenty- nine miles North west from here, or possibly N-North-West.
