patches of ice - Dogs are in excellent condition, jumping, playing and titing each other as little pups. "So fair and free a day I have not seen" might be quoted as regards the weather. Bright sunshin, falling snow, no wind, and drifts have alternated through- out the day. Wind blowing a 5 from S.W. Have walked tent with blocks of snow in anticipation of & another such spell as I've experienced before. My whole hand is now swollen, have chills and bad headache - shall be all right tomorrow.
