April 28, 1917
Paced a base line this morning from Petravich to
[illegible] points. Took a pound
of angles from each point.
Boys were nearly all miles
kiting for here. Sowed a few
but found them very wild.
At camp at Culimuddy.
Samuel tried a shot at a
deal with some kind of bird
hard as corn in blood, but
he managed to wriggle into hole.
Have next time now to
the glacier after the meat
while I tried for wild bird
shots.
