Wednesday April 26. 36th day Leaving Aumond Rinqres Land at- 12-15 we arrived here at North Cornwall at 4-15. Discovered a small island on the way about 3/4 of a mile in length and only 20 or 20 feet above sea level. It was almost directly in our path and about 3/4 way across. Lying off the shore here for about a mile is a large field of old hummock ice, the first we have seen inside Leaning Smith Sound. We find tracks of wolves much worn, and hare along the ice foot. The boys are now building an igloo; when completed we shall all go up on top of the headland to build a cairn and look for game.
