At 6h 29m Obs 2 Oct O 26° 2.c. - 2' 30" At 9-30 tonight just as we were getting ready for bed Two wolves came across the ice to our camp. Arhlis fired but vuershot. E's dogs tore loose and galloped after them nearly out of sight & following them with his rifle and calling to his dogs to come back. Macarling was spurred on his sledge and took after E who gave him his rifle as he passed. We can see him and returning with all the dogs the wolves are headed for North Cornwall and still going. Wind 1 NW.
