"meaning well and saw
him a half mile away
gathering the other cub
with his team.
At this time Ardis
arrived and I yelled for
him to run and shoot-
and save the cubs. All the
time I was backing around
in circles trying to defend
my little feldow from
Ardis's Team who were
found to get him. As his
head was quicked under
my arm, and behind me
and the rest of him in
front of me so had some
difficulty in guarding all
sides. Ardis having lost
the mother ran to my
aid with his whip, and
helped me get a noose
around his neck and body.
Meaning well now
came back with the male
in his arms, one much
larger than mine. As he
held him tightly against
his breast I heard
him on the lip: 'Mine'
