Saturday, Nov. 13th, Green, Finnied and Sammit off for 2-3 days in-house Friday. No change in the weather as yet. Still very wet under the snow which is about a foot deep on the ice. a real craght-in by Archie from a celtic today was at least 5 feet in length, 4 ft 7 1/2 in girth, and weighed about 200 lbs. This is the largest little ring seal which I have ever seen. The Eskimos tell me that the young snow buntings remain all winter. Some of them, one heard yesterday. Undoubtedly many of them perish especially if the snow is deep preventing access to grains. Two of Green's dogs are so rich that he was compelled to leave them here. Cleaning up a bit tonight. Promite of a good day tomorrow.
