interested in the news that our Cliff was at 27 - below below Yamanah. They thought we had returned because of open water. Coming in tonight we encountered three leads. One was bridged with the sledges and dogs walked over. Three or four froze or rather fell in trying to jump. For this time of year I have never known it so cold. Yesterday this side of Yamanah it was at least 20 below Zero. Our goods were packed and our traces stiff. Having an wet blanket I changed at 29 - below da coming so was very comfortable for last 12 miles. Thursday, Nov. 9th. Trying to make logs was comfortable today.
