Brief to Monte Clear Bay Oct. 31, 1915- In camp on Lee Cap. A merry party of 11 sledges about 100 dogs, and the following Eskimos: E-tuk-al-juu, albu-yal, E-say-vv, ali-nai-wi, nugsal, Ka-ho-chee-al, ali-nou-hal, Nu-car-jiug-wali, Koola-tinal, E-lay-tiug-wali, ali-jun-al- seu-al-o ali-niu-gal, Meqijewo, Larlorali, Kang-de, Clay-s-Avo argo-fob-inai, Saund Sattoo. It was blowing at Eleh as usual but quite calm after we got out of the harbor. After I went close in to Cape Hendrick compelled us to try a pass new to me- the finer valley south west of Eortag's Monument. I hope it will always remain new. May the Devil take it as his own.
