morning. We are right on the face of a drop into the pond. Bee walls- tried he has found a place to get down so will try it in the morning. Saw ice favor in quality that hands would only use snow shoes for no three white men. They are sleeping outside on their blankets. Which deep snow today for about 5 miles and deep cracks into which our guys repeatedly fell. Ultimately they were well about a 1 foot wide so they were easily negotiated. Looked at this spot this morning and found it in bad shape. The well try to go on for a while danger but must go bath soon. The Elkins say it is like Reary's and give him no encouragement whatever but I think it is only unprepared.
