Maker 1959 Journal. a few interesting thing missing. Swade sleeping bag. My duffle bag with clothing etc., The box made to house my camera recording equipment. That all missing I think. On the credit side is the fact that we got our own grocery order plus the grocery order intended for Mike Daniel at the Colville River. On the debit side is NO COFFEE. What a blow. - however 2 cases of Vottle chocolate compensate for this. Cleaned out rice cellar - full of Quamme & fox dropping - repaired the top & insulated it with sod. Put meat in - hope this gets cold enough as we have much too much meat. Went for a walk from 6 to 9 V.M. upriver to second stream - inland half mile or so & both overlands. Snow is gone except for large drifts in ravines & along river, Siphonia ophryfolia is blooming as is Bemm, the blue anemone & several other mat flowers I can't name. June 13 Litninger River, Alaska In field about noon (slightly before) proceeded West from camp to first, second ridge - along second ridge S. to Beiled Steam - crossed & headed West to Ridge III. Followed the ridge S. to high peak adjacent
