Maker 1959 Journal up until we were quite near Minit - say 2/3 or 3/4 of the way & here it was only 30-40% - hills began just outside of Minit - here melt off was as much as 50-60%. In Colville valley it is much higher - 80-90% clear. This holds until right below the main fork of the mouth where snow cone, mines. The river, is open to the mouth & running free of ice for most its length - Drained oriental lake toward S. part of coastal plain - south of Teshehipul Lake area. - Several drained beds with small pingos in centers.
