Maker 1959 Langer tanandrus June 4 Caribou seen on flight to Unnat this date: 4 Caribou (3+1 calf) at 5:25 - on coastal plain - feeding on small exposed area. 10 Caribou in hills just by Unnat. Fair number were seen along Calvillle river, from Unnat to coast. Feeding on 'green' tundra all of which is exposed in the valley. Groups were: 6, 14 (2 calf), 15, 2, 5, 6. total = 48 all were still in winter pelage - appeared very light from air. June 6 Caribou seen by Tim Myers on Calvillle Run Caribou seen from Drew Point to POW B - 5 adult 1 Adv + calf 5 adults 15 adults + 9 new born calves. 9 ad. w/ 6 calves 10 " " 4 " 3 " " 2 " 3 " " 1 " 5 adults Total 56 adults w/ 23 calves May 20 Caribou on flight to Patimogo River - T. Myers 30 miles W. Wright to Skull Cliff or Ly C. all Caribou seen in this stretch.
