Maker 1959 Langer tanandrus June 4 Caribou seen on flight to Unnat this date: 4 Caribou (3+1 calf) at 5:25 - on coastal plain - feeding on small exposed area. 10 Caribou in hills just by Unnat. Fair number were seen along Calvillle river, from Unnat to coast. Feeding on 'green' tundra all of which is exposed in the valley. Groups were: 6, 14 (2 calf), 15, 2, 5, 6. total = 48 all were still in winter pelage - appeared very light from air.
