Asio flammeus
nest in the owl ridge vicinity as I have
long suspected.
A ? owl barked at me when I
was halfway between ridge II & Carbon
Mt. at about level of the loon pond.
May be one up here as well as the one
? & N+S already known & the nest
that failed near loon pond.

Owl #2, chick gone, ad 9 hunting in area.
Owl 4 ? present
Owl 3 ? present
Owl 2 ? seen in evening, hunting.
Owl seen in LT#9 territory
Owl ? at end of owl ridge (Kend)
Owl at ridge #6, ? , calls at me.
I think diff territory then at LT#9
territory.

Found Owl chick across river, 1/4 mile from
owl nest #2, straight inland from it appears. It
was not banded & showed no toe chip though
latter not conclusive evidence that it wasn't
chipped. I believe this is a chick of
that nest. Couldn't get fly.
Shorten owl calling, flying NW of LT#7 site.
In evening along willow creek I flushed
up at least 2 owl chicks already able to fly.
They kept flying ahead of me & were flushed
several times. There might have been more than
