Meler 1959 Airs flammeeus May 26 One pair noted in area across river from Camp. One seen sitting on timber in early afternoon, the brown one of pair, - later both were seen flying. May 27 Our 2 pairs just seen located beyond Tug line are still present. May 30 Pete Sandil reported seeing one south of Barrow Village June 4 Barrow. (Shorter came flying along lead in afternoon. Cut Mount Bernard, airport. June 12 Citunega One male foraging on tundra behind tent in afternoon. In evening by just stream 5. a male (light form) came over 1/4 mile circled around me about 25 feet up then swooped low- (10 ft) over my head & flew off. Later, in that same area roughly, saw this male foraging - a half mile beyond saw individual boundary flight between 2 very light phase short-ears. - Refuelltly saw one chase + swoop at second. This was after a mile between the 2 which I didn't witness completely. There may then, be 4 pair meeting on this side of river. Saw one jumping along ridge across river. (our)
