Razor tindactyla
June 6 Barrow.
Three Kittiwakes seen heading E along
Red about 4:25 P.M.
July 27 Patregea Bank. Few feeding along midshore
at coast a large group milling about
far out.
Aug 7 Patregea. A large flock estimated between
1-2000 birds at mouth of river, roosting
on bar. The flock contained many juveniles
sub adults but no estimate of their
numbers was made. It was way less than half.
The birds are actively moulting as judged
by the windrow of feathers along the
beach.
Kittiwakes have been common along
coast all summer, though I've made
no special note of them.
