Larus hyperboreus
Aug 3 (cont.) The gull flock at that time stayed
at shallow spot below camp. The salmon
may have been in this area at that
time. I just saw them there on July 31
when Hank & I went down stream to get
walrus carcass. Since then they have
become abundant in the riffles off camp
& eles upstream. The gulls now congregate
there in early morning but leave when
we come out.
There is very shallow & bumpo of
salmon plainly visible so they move.
