Make 1959 phalaropus fulicarius May 23 Petnmegea River. Two flocks, one of eleven while running trap line, a second if 80720 on E side of river. Tom saw a single bird on a puddle m evening May 24 One along edge of river. m evening May 25 Two along edge of river in morning. Flock of 35-40 on river- flew off trap over tundra W. # 3 or 4 small groups seen during the afternoon. groups of 4-8 One flock of 15 May 26 Still seen in flocks. Saw one of 15, a group of 4. Occasional single birds were feeding on mud flats of delta + along river edge. May 27 Saw a group of 7 and anothr of 4. Also one or two single birds over the tundra- June 13 None seen none since arriving here. June 15 One seen in area of polygonal pond near Pomerine nest. Phalaropus fulicaria
