Mabry 1459 Clangula hyemalis May 27 Pitinegra Line. Heard one call distinctly from river this morning before I got up. Haven't seen or heard it since but the call is unmistak- able. June 14 Pitinegra. Have been hearing these occasionally since we arrived back here (afternoon of June 12) Saw a pair along Willow Creek, flew up stream, male calling, landed on water & drifted downstream a ways. Don flun off towards river. June 17 Old Squaw male flew up river this A.M. A female was seen on pond just over tent ridge yesterday evening or way in. June 20 Flock of 21 Old squaw were in mouth of river. Saw a lone female on one of the several lakes E of the delta. A couple flying up river during the day. July 21 Flock of 50+ Old Squaw in delta of Pitinegra River. July 27 Small flock of a dozen or so in delta of river in evening.
