King Eider
July 21 Appeared to be a flight of King going West
along coast today. Saw a flock of 100+
of them which landed on water off the nine
mouth. Near by on water was a flock
of 50+ of the same species. This identification
based on amount of white on wings. Flocks
were almost 100% males.
July 27 Six male Eiders flying W. along shore
in evening. A windy evening with large
waves. Not a good night for eider to fly.
Aug 5 Flock of 125+ flying along coast
heading west in evening. Also evening.
