Anas formosa
May 28 Pitmegea River, m. Alaska.
Sighted a pair of Formosa or Barhal
Teal the evening. Flushed them together
from a small stream a mile upstream
from camp. They flew across the
river to a her on opposite shore when I
had a good view of them. The moved again
200 yds S. on same side + I watched them
then for a while again. They then flew on
upstream. I made sketch of the male upon
reaching the boat.
Tom + I then went back with a
gun but could not locate the birds.
