Maker 1959 Anas acuta ahead, flew up again, a short distance + repeated this set routine quacking, flying + landing, stretching to neck up to watch me + then flying again. June 23 ♀ Pintail seated by edge of Loon pond for an hour + then flew off again. July 10 Female pintail about Loon Slough opposite Ridgett. Saw one here on last round. She did a lot of flying around me + I suspect she has a brood but couldn't spot it on any of the little ponds. Aug 5 ♀ Pintail flew along coast + into delta in evening. Flock of 25 headed west along coast in evening 4 Pintail flying west along coast a little later. In afternoon 3 were seen on pond along Loon Slough. Didn't fly, hid in weeds; looked like almost grown chicks. Aug 7 About 10 P.M. flock of 25 Pintail came heading W. along shore, turned + landed in delta.
