Mable 1959 Journal days ago. Day was windy but clear for second day in a row. Sun set about 11:30. Aug 2 Pitnegea River, Alaska Warm day, clear, wind has dropped some. Some mosquitoes were out + a few bees + butterflies. Walked out to Ridge III & (S. of Carbon Mt.) + watched Pomarine pair #2 for 3 hours. Returned to tent at 5 PM. In evening helped Mark move his trap lines. Aug 3 Pitnegea River, Alaska. In morning we set out trap lines. Set 2 + Mark 2. Beautiful clear day. Noticed whale blowing at mouth of river as I came in. In afternoon went to 3 remaining nets. (T#4 has gone, Othe. 2 remain. Clear, warm day, still to NE breeze blowing. Aug 4 Pitnegea River, Alaska. Another beautiful day, relatively still warm clear. Breeze from NE. Spent day plotting next locations on aerial photos; + dragging in my fences. Got the 2 parachute + owl nest across river, then Lt#6,75 + peregrine 2 + the owl nest. After supper walked upstream to Willow Creek + up to Lt#1. Returned to tent at 10:30 PM.
