Maker 1959 Journal Teamy off the front. After this it became obvious the gusts were getting stronger. I managed to get the fly up over the back of the tent to protect it somewhat. The wind continued strong with intermittent showers all day. Towards evening it died down. I went for a walk down to Falcon rock in the evening. Set all my live traps on the late round. Boat at mouth river, Departed hiking on east. Wet nature. July 19 Patimgea River Wpat 9 AM. A still, calm, warm day, broken clouds + occasional showers. Made round across river after breakfast. Then round W + finally the south round + so hit all the nests today. Mosquitoes were quite bad, by far the worst they have been here. [illegible] July 20 Patimgea River, Alaska. Nice sunny warm day with enough of a B breeze to keep mosquitoes down. In morning collected the live traps on ridge + dash them to Loon Slough + set them out. Also photographed a few wild flowers + took some movies of the loons + chicks. After lunch made a four ones along N side of study area + checked on nests 7, 12, +16; all were present [illegible] complete round Picture
