Barns, Alaska Miscellaneous Bird Stomachs June 23 Rose Hull ♂ 41 distinct red chironomid larvae other chironomid (red) remains, but too far digested to estimate number ♂ 9 late pupae of chironomids (red) contain fully formed adults of ±200 red chironomid larvae. June 27 Dowitcher - 32 very large typulid larvae; 6 smaller typulid larvae of different species. - 27 very large typulid larvae; 3 1 smaller species; 3 dytiscid adults. July 8 ♀ Stellar Eider crop only 389 red chironomid larvae. 3 caddisfly cases; 5 dytiscid adults; 3 small typulid larvae. July 30 Rough-winged Swallow ±50 large black chironomids this may be some additional smaller ones but can't be demonstrated
