Barrow, Alaska June 26 Red Phalarope - stomachs ♂ 10 Trichoptera larvae; 8 Chironomid larvae (red). ♂ 6 " " ; 2 carex aquatilis seeds ♂ 15 " " ; nothing else ♂ 12 " " ; 10 Chironomid larvae (wd); 2 snails ♂ 5 " " ; ±10 " " " ; 1 carabid amara? ♂ ±2 " " ; 25 Chironomid larvae (red); ±2 " ♂ well digested but remains suggest high preponderance of Trich. larvae ♂ 42 Trichoptera larvae; das it allee (Trichoptera sample sand) ♂ well digested only remains: legst part of head of Trichoptera larva ♂ " " " and great mass of these ♂ almost empty, some Trichoptera larval remain; 2 carex aquatilis seeds. ♂ heavy in Trichoptera larval remains; about 15 Chironomid (red) larvae just eaten apparently, ♀ 30 Trichoptera larvae; 1 red mite; ±15 Chironomid larvae, ♀ 4 Snails (saved) and remaining several others; ±20 Trichoptera larvae; 1 Ad Dytsicid (saved); several Chironomid larvae (red) also an indeterminable # of chewed up Dytsicid Adults. ♀ digested, but evident remain of Trichoptera larvae and some Dytsicid adult remains; Chironomid larvae not distinguishable if present; many grass roots probably acquired in search for "bugs". ♀ 26 Trichoptera larvae; nothing else identifiable. ♀ ?# " " not probably in neighborhood of 15; no discernible chironomid remains; snail shell fragments present
