Barnes Alaska Field Water traps: 1) Nothing, pool drying up rapidly 2) 2 dytiscids + 1 bytiscid? larvae; 2 spiders 3) 2 dytiscids 1 spider Can count: 10 spiders; 1 chrysomelid adult; 2 staphs; 1 Ephyrid; ±50 large gray Collembola Surface fauna: 1 Fungivoid; 15 Ephyrids 1 anthomyid (large); 7 spiders; 2 cecidomyiids; 70 Collembola noted on surface Berlese sample: 5mm of Collembolaxmites in 8×90 mm vial, 2 large dytis larvae 12hr Berlese run sample sand. Vegetation notes: Kodachrome slide taken this date; Pelastio on adjacent frost scar areas in full bloom Remarks: rained in early morning some hours can had some ±½" rain in it.
