Can count: 5 spiders; 5 staphylinids; 1 Chrysomelid Ad; 1 Hemiptera
(Saved frid. separately) + 20 long gray Collembola
Surface fauna: 1 Tenthredinid adult; 1 anthomyid
fly; 1 spider.
Berlese sample: 12 hour run on Berlese a sample 25 cm diameter
x 10 cm their gave total animal life of 5 mm height in 8 x 98 mm
vial + 3 earthworms. Sample Bavel 4 consists of:
Collembola, a few mites, 3 staphylinids + numerous small dipteran
like larvae.
