Weather during count overcast with fog closing in and drifting by Meter Plot No. 3 (marsh) Date June 26, 1952 Hurd Pt. Banns, Alaska [illegible] Sphagnum moss sample near this plot contained following: 3 Chrysomelid pupae and ±5 mm height in 8x90mm vial of mostly Collembola ±mites + 3 Stephylmid. Can count: Set up this date is short in depth ±8cm Surface fauna: Large gray-blue Collembola probably around 5 per 10 cm C Berlese sample: 52 mm of collembola in 8x90mm vial from 25cm diameter ring sample that was 5 cm in thickness; 1 spider and a number of annelids of duplexa lavana (Sample saved at is in 2 vials) 12 hour Berlese run 52 Vegetation notes: Remarks: water content of this sample higher than that of #1, ½. ice at about 5-7 cm depth frozen solid
