Third 1952 September 14 continued grid banding. 15 16 17 fine arrow covered the tender - sun came out a few times - Buntrips at lowest pop level - caught 1 longspur shot a Slate colored Junco behind Animal House. Spent most of day in talk for Alaska Science conference talk - did some packing. 18. Left traps set on the grid until 1300 but no Buntrips were in them - only 3 bedpolls. While picking up the traps did see 5 or 6 Buntrips in flight around the dumps. Most of today spent in getting odds and ends later car party for return to Berkeley. ∞
