September 6 an occasional juvenile Phalangopsis noted in tundra must be out on fresh water lake near edge of lagoon - another words any body of water not frozen over.
September 7 Banding on grid - day after Wilkinsey's party - nothing accomplished. Pads thawing
September 8 Woke up to a blanket of snow covering the tundra - this melted off by noon and grounds almost freed of ice. Day was characterized by snow flurries, scudding - towards evening a very fine powdery snow began to fall (around 7pm), spent day banding on grid & in lab. Also made trip out to the ridge to prospect plot. I got soil samples, picked up snap tray. at last got off stuff to Rouse. Woke up to rather light snow cover on everything. Spent am in lab cleaning up odds and ends things. Day overcast snow melted before noon off much of the ground especially gully areas.
