R.B. Hamilton 1965 Anthus cervinus Aug 7 Cape Thompson - A bird of this species was observed flying over the creek. The rusty red of the throat was very visible. The bird otherwise resembled a water pipit but the act was more like that of the Yellow Wagtail. On the fifth I believe I saw this species near the camp but the individual was very shy and I never could get a good enough look to tell for sure. That bird lacked the rusty throated.
