July 26 Barrow Alaska - In the afternoon I saw a flock of 50 birds fly by in several flocks. 27 th. morning I got a glimpse at a flock of 20 birds which I thought belonged to this species. The birds seen were adults.
July 27 50 birds were seen
July 29 Fifty birds were seen.
July 31 Forty birds were seen.
Aug 3 Cape Thompson - A flock of about 500 was resting on the brous near where the wreck enters to occur.
Aug 4. The flock was again present on the brous. Many kittiwakes were nesting along the marrs as the cliffs. Their nests were made at grass.
Aug 5-14 The flock when the wreck enters the water is present. I saw about 5 instances at Pomona Canyon in pursuit of a single kittiwake. It always looked like the kittiwake would get killed but they were all carrying sun, food and were a little above as soon as they dropped it.
Aug 17 Barrow Alaska - Thirty were seen flying over the ocean
Aug 27 About 100 were seen flying over the ocean.
