R. B. Hamilton 1965 Grus canadensis Aug. 3. Cape Thompson - One bird believed to be this species was heard calling along the creek to the E of camp about 2000. Footprints which I believe belonged to this species were present all about the camp wherever soft mud was present. Aug. 14. Cape Thompson to Barrow Alaska - Two birds of this species were observed on the ground in a lake field region about 50 miles SW of Barrow.
