Schwartz Minks for meeting & raising. Mr. Feld-
1933. Miller was most interesting. Had dinner
at Cabbs Hotel & spent nights at Wieder's.
May 31, 1933
Left Wieder's at 8:00 AM; drove 21
miles to Eureka, hence 8-10 miles S
Eureka or a few miles N. W. from Eureka
a road branched off & right. This,
The Weaversville Road, we took & drove
50 miles to Willows Creek. En route
we crossed two ridges; just
just west of the ridge by Redwood Creek. South Fork
ridge is long called Anne Mountain
and a road leads S.W. from the
pass over which the main highway goes.
After provisioning at Willows Creek, on
Dinny River, which is very muddy from
hydraulic mines near Seaverville, and
interviewing Ranger Dist. Frakes at
Sugal R.S., we drove up the ridge
road. For it was rough & rocky
& just short of summit of Snow Mt.
we were stopped by snow. Party J
MacSinity & Spanelling, James. Botanists
were also freed up by snow. Finally
Camped in a small flat without water.
