Arose early after Bekle's example.-5:00
AM. Last rite was clear and cold up to
3:00 or 4:00 AM; then at a heavy fog settled
in the valley and the damp cold was
much more piercing than the cold before.

Littlefield Creek, 200 yds. from mouth
I found nesting hole of Chestnut sided
Chickadee. Hole was on north side of
25' pine stump 3-4' in diameter and
was about 18' from ground. Pair was

birds was seen to fly to the hole,
disappear within and emerge age about
5 seconds later.
