Mad R. ford, 2700 ft., above Ruth, Trinity Co., Calif.
May 20, 1933
Spec. no. 7632 probably nursing - five
mammae on right side, six on left,
neely arranged from groin & axilla
Lower dhenacic mammae on left side has
no pain or make on other side.
caught on down log at base of frosted
hillside near river.
Citellus seem to be common along the
river from bank to timber, tho they
are seldom seen during the day.
Their burrows may be found under
shumps, Ceanothus bushes on the
hill sides and in the open. Afternoon
catch held four. Schuyler traps
held them all right but do not
kill. Sure catch rat traps are not
sufficient.
