None taken so far; strange. Traps have
been set along streams & in moist
willow thickets in fields. No result.
May 29, 1933
Probably m 7643 is a trowbridgii. Five
specimens at all have been taken, one
Nov. 1936, at 5500 ft. near Zirs. Not
common anywhere, however, and generally
taken in damp localities has not
actually at edge of water.

Scattered individuals have been taken but
none near running water. All were secured in
traps set in dry timber near roots or brush.
Probably the population quite unstable and
shrinking as headquarters due to entailed
food supply from lake season. One
taken during day of May 6. Lived 3
small embryos x 3 mm.
