Gilmore SPOTTED SEAL . (3)
1931 Sept. 21 Unalaska, Unalaska Is., Alution
Mr. Patterson of Unalga S. states
that he kills a dozen or two of these
seals every winter. He uses the liver (which he says is delicious) for his own
consumption, the skin for his own
use, and the rest for of the carcass for fox food.
Oct. 4 Mr. Swanson said that
yesterday, while at the Baby Is. just east
of Unalga, he had seen hundreds of
deported Hair Seals.
