601. Gilmore SPOTTED SEAL . (3) 1931 Sept. 21 Unalaska, Unalaska Is., Alution Mr. Patterson of Unalga S. states that he kills a dozen or two of these seals every winter. He uses the liver (which he says is delicious) for his own consumption, the skin for his own use, and the rest for of the carcass for fox food. Oct. 4 Mr. Swanson said that yesterday, while at the Baby Is. just east of Unalga, he had seen hundreds of deported Hair Seals.
