589 Gilmore 1931 VULPES D Tigata, Point Hope, Alaska Aug.22 about 15-25 red foxes came into the village this winter from the region between Cowin Coal mine & Cape Thompson. Reds are found all over the mainland in varying numbers. One cross fox was taken last winter. Good prime fur will sell for $15.00. Sept 14. Unalaska, Alaska From all I can gather, the red fox seems to be indigenous but I'm not so sure. Anyhow right now there seems to be lots of crosses & silvers in the fox population.
