Old Wm. Grist has proposed to the
Alaskan Game Commission to plant river
otters on the permanent ice-free
streams on this island but the experiment has not as yet been carried
out.
Aug. 26. Kotzebue, Kotzebue Is., Alaska.
A few otters come into the trading
store in this town from the rivers to
the east.
Sept. 15. Unalaska, Unalaska Is., Alaska.
Aleutian Is. Albert Olsen states that
a few otters are found on the end of
the Alaska Peninsula & [illegible] perhaps
even on Unimak Is.
