1931 June 16. Nome Alaska. H.d. Mason
bought a few skins of this tiny
weasel in Nome for 50ยข apiece.
Aug. 26 Kotzebue, Kotzebue St. Alaska
I didn't notice any skins of least
weazels in the trading stores.
Sept 15 Unalaska, Unalaska Is. Alaska,
Alcuations Is. From Albert Olsen,
it seems that least weasels are quite
common on the end of the Alaskan
Peninsula. He states that they inhabit
his shacks and in the winter time
he catches them just to be rid of them.
They seem to be only 5-7 inches in
length.
