580 Gilmore MUSTELA 1931 Aug. 24 Point Hope, Alaska. A few ermine are taken in the foot- fall, every winter but they do not seem To come out on the long sand & gravel peninsula to Tigira at the end of Point Hope. No form of weasel known on St. Lawrence Is. Aug. 26 Kotzebue, Kotzebue St. Alaska A hundred of ermine skins come into Kotzebue from the trapping grounds on the Noatak, Kobuk & Selawik Rivers. Right now, prime good W.1 skins sell for from 150 - 125 a piece. They seem to be Mustela archieus this I eredn't be sure. Sept. 15 Unalaska, Unalaska Is. Alaska No weasels are known from Unalaska or adjacent islands. Probably they occur on Unimak Is; and they are trapped in moderate numbers on the Alaska Peninsula. Albert Olam at False Pass, catches a few, & is willing to send skins or skulls out to my museum.
