524 Gilmour WHISKERED AUKLET D) 1931 Oct. 2 Between Unalaska and English Bay (described under Least Auklet) Oct. 4 Uralga Pass, W. Aleutian Is. On this foggy morning, as we ran down the smooth waters of the pass to Agamzik Bay, we passed thru some hundred odd of these small Shmoky Auklets. They were scattered all over the pass in bunches of from 2-6 and often allowed a close approach before diving or taking wing, generally the former. Sec. 2223-24-25-26 were shot from the bow of the "Kanaga Native" and re- trieved with the dory. Oct. 7. Akutan Pass. E. Aleutians. Only a few of these birds were seen while crossing the rough waters of the pass today. Oct. 26+31. None seen on these two day when I crossed Akutan Pass.
