587 Gibney 1931 MARBLEO MURRELET Brachyramphus marmoratus May 15 - Seymour Narrows - Several pairs of small dark birds that very closely resembled this species were seen! Sometimes they dove & sometimes they took flight. May 18 - See log for route! - present Today at odd times in pairs or triplets Summer plumage. Flew or dove with remarkable rapidity. May 19 - By Strait - many present Flying & swimming. Sometimes dove, Sometimes flew when boat came within 75-100 yds. Generally in pairs. May 21 Unalaska Bay, Unalaska Is., Alaska Saw only a few - Sailors brought in a mutilated specimen, looked like Kittlitz's Murrelet
