503 Gilmore PALLAS MURRE @ 1931 There are not many Murres in the bay and today I saw only 10-12. in Generally the outer harbor. About half seemed to be immatures. Oct. 7 Akutan Pass, E. Alutiiq Is. Very few seen while crossing the pass and these were doubtfully identified as Pallas Murres. From notes of Commander E.S. Jones - captain of Coast Guard Cutter "Norland". Oct. 15, 1931 - Many seen at King Island.
