Gibson 1931 Pacific Kittiwake O Lissa tridactyla pollicatis! May 19 Day Strait - Today the Kittiwakes sat in this appearance for the first time. Flock of 78 seen 6:30 A.M. - flew out the day many more seen. Solid black wing tips most distinguishing mark. May 21 Marmot Bay - Several dozen in sight off x on. Stayed away from The boat - very graceful flight in the strong wind. May 31 Unalaska Bay, Unalaska Is., Alaska None seen, either around beach or in open channel. June 3 - off Nome (Is.), Alaska - several flocks seen. June 8 St. Michael Alaska Commonest bird - seen in harbor only. June 11 Unalakleet, Norton Is., Alaska Commonest bird. June 17, Nome, Alaska Very common - Flock around ship for garbage. June 21- July 12, Savoonga, St. Lawrence Is., Bering Sea, Alaska. Very common
