Gilmore SABINE GULL (3) 1931 but they never never formed a part of the garbage scavenging flock of Glaucous Winged Gulls, that always stayed with the ship. From notes of Commander E.D. Jones, captain of Coast Guard Cutter, "Northland" Oct. 14-15 1931 "Cape Prince of Wales to King Island & Port Clarence - most numerous of the gulls - winter plumage, seem to be more common west (?) of Sledge Island" (probably latter clause refers to migrational path.)
