1931

from an individual in the flock of
ship's gulls. It showed the clear
yellow bill + black wing tips specked
with white if an adult plumage.
May 16 Queen Charlotte St.- Finlayson Channel.
Two followed in wake of Boat.
James St. Michael Alaska
Fairly common in Marshes.
Oct. 20. Akutan Bay, Akutan D. E. Aleutians
Spec. 2277-78 have been tentatively
treated Short Billed Gulls. The
identification is by no means certain.
Small dark colored gulls of this type
are to be seen around here in small
numbers only, but are easily distinguishable
by their small size and correspondingly
quicker movements from the larger Blancous
