477 CALIF. GULL - Larus californicus Gilmore 1931 May 8, 1931 - off coast of Washington & Juan de Fuca - just noted with any degree of certainty (still not absolute). May 14, 1931 - Puget Sound & passage east of Vancouver Is. Very probably present among the flocks of gulls who none were positively identified. May 15, 1931 Seymour Narrows & north the gulls have become more numerous in the flock that hangs around the ship. They are in all series of plumages as are the rest of the gulls. May 16, 1931 Juan Charlotte St. - & Gmailayon Channel. - quite a few still following the boat.
